February 21st, 2016

Join us as we honor one of the most extraordinary singers of the past three decades, joined by a star entering the pinnacle of his career and two young legends in the making.

Samuel Ramey has reigned as one of the opera world’s foremost interpreters of the bass repertoire for the past three decades. He continues to perform at the world’s most important opera houses and concert stages.

Joining Mr. Ramey on stage will be Michael Fabiano, one of the greatest tenors in the world today!

Now entering the pinnacle of his career, Mr. Fabiano is performing at the world’s leading opera houses: the Metropolitan Opera, San Francisco Opera, Royal Opera, Teatro Real, Opéra National de Paris, La Scala, Deutsche Oper Berlin. After his leading role debut in La Bohème at the Metropolitan Opera last season, the New York Observer wrote, “this was the debut of the decade.” This season, he adds four new roles to his repertoire: Rodolfo in Luisa Miller, to open the San Francisco Opera season, Lenski in Eugene Onegin, his Royal Opera debut, and the title role in Don Carlo, at San Francisco Opera.

The Gala Package
The evening begins with a 4 PM concert at the First Presbyterian Church of Bonita Springs. This 1,400-seat sanctuary with the feel of a Concert Hall is designed with acoustics for vocal performance especially voices as big as Metropolitan Opera Legend Samuel Ramey and rising star Michael Fabiano. Often used by the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra for performances, the church has ample parking. It is conveniently located on Bonita Beach Road two miles east of the Rt 75 exit.

The Bonita Beach Bay Club is just minutes away from the concert venue and will provide Gala ticket holders with an opportunity to meet the stars of the evening immediately after the concert in a more intimate setting. Guests will enjoy the signature cocktail and appetizer tray as well as a three course dinner with wine.

Ola Rafalo and Gustavo Feulien will once again fill the air with song throughout the dinner. At the conclusion of dinner, Azalea Strings will play waltz tunes for your listening and dancing enjoyment. Several silent auction items will be available to help with our fundraising efforts.

This light-hearted comedy bubbles with effervescent arias and charm as the elixir causes as many problems as it solves. I was encouraged by the music we created together, secure in the environment with such loving and helpful people, and most of all, inspired by your leadership, discipline, experience, and grace. You have always been one of my idols. Your teaching and guidance challenge me. There are certain people in your life that not only inspire you but kindle a desire to pursue a dream. Since the first time I saw you perform, you sparked my love for opera. Whenever I have a lesson with you, I feel more sure about my voice and my desire to perform. You have my admiration, support, and endless respect,

In the past three years I have had the pleasure of working with Steffanie Pearce on three outstanding and highly successful Opera Naples productions, "Faust," "Tosca," and "The Barber of Seville," the later two in cooperation with Artis Naples. Ms. Pearce has always been cordial, efficient and supportive of my work. Her first-hand knowledge of the opera world gives her a deep understanding of all areas of opera production. I have greatly enjoyed being apart of her team.
