To enrich the community of Southwest Florida by presenting accessible, high quality vocal music performances with classically trained artists and to foster a sense of belonging within our diverse community through a variety music based activities.

Gulfshore Opera is a regional opera company founded with core values of a community based creative collaboration. Serving Collier, Lee and Charlotte Counties, it seeks to enrich the community by presenting high quality opera theater and classical vocal music, and promotes community well-being through musical education programs. Its mission is to make opera accessible to the general public by maintaining affordable ticket prices, and a wide range of performance experiences suitable for diverse audiences. Gulfshore Opera was founded in 2014 by Steffanie Pearce, who brings 30 years of experience in the field of opera. She is a producer, director, performer and teacher of the great art form and has performed around the world. She resides in Southwest Florida.

GO General Director, Steffanie Pearce and founding board chair Anthony Fabiano and Treasurer Charles Ganjamie were presented a certificate by the Lee County  Commissioners honoring the inauguration of Gulfshore Opera in 2014.

ARTISTIC INTEGRITY

Under the guidance of General Director Steffanie Pearce, the company engages a balanced ensemble of high quality international, national, and regional performers to present the finest live opera theater and classical vocal performance in the tri-county region. Audiences are consistently inspired by the programs and professional artists are eager to perform with the company.

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Gulfshore Opera maintains the highest level of financial responsibility and is a valued community partner. Our financial integrity is reflected in our commitment to operating with a lean staff and low overhead while maintaining a solid organizational structure. Financial operations are managed by accountant, Amy Brower with oversight by our Treasurer, Elaine Christian, CPA.

Community Engagement

Gulfshore Opera does more than produce opera and concerts. Making positive social impact in the Southwest Florida region is an import part of the GO mission. Public Support

GO has been awarded grants by the State of Florida Division of Cultural Affairs, the City of Fort Myers, City of Punta Gorda, and the Tourist Development Council of Collier County, Tourist Development Council of Lee County.

Strategic Plan

The GO Strategic Plan, adopted in season 6, sets the direction and goals for the next five years. These vary in nature from enduring intentions such as Our Organizational Values and Mission to others that are time specific. An annual plan of action is developed and reviewed by the board of directors every season. This keeps us working steadily, in sync, towards Our Vision for the future.
