Teaching the Art of Belonging

partnership with

GO Social Engagement Programs are enriching the lives of a diverse cross section of the Southwest Florida community through a variety of social engagement programs. Each year GO brings together nearly 500 performers and production personnel. Over 4000 volunteer hours are contributed per year and hundreds of students, elementary through college age enjoy their first opera experience by attending dress rehearsals and/or performances, for free. Our highly successful Emerging Artists Program (ages 16 - 28) provides private training and performance opportunities to talented singers in our community while our Children’s Choir trains youth (7-12) to take part in full-scale opera productions. Skilled Adult Chorus members receive high level instruction and perform in full-scale opera productions and concerts. The Harmony Choir youth development choral program seeks to affect social wellbeing through the pursuit of musical excellence. The program works in partnership with existing after school enrichment programs and is delivered at no cost to participants.
