Lauryn Kay is a native of Charleston, SC. She is a recent graduate of the University of Florida and holds a Master of Music degree in Voice Performance. Miss Kay has performed as a soloist and chorister throughout the southeast and abroad including England, Spain, Hungary, and Vienna. While in Gainesville, Lauryn performed the alto solos for Handel's Messiah, Durufle's Requiem, Britten's Rejoice in the Lamb, and Rutter's Every Time I Feel the Spirit. Her stage appearances include Flora in La Traviata, Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Veronique in Dr. Miracle, the Sorceress in Dido and Aeneas, the Witch in Into the Woods, Anita in West Side Story, and Ruth in The Book of Ruth. With Gulfshore Opera, Miss Kay coordinates the Harmony Choir program, and various social programs.
